A Civil3D forum user recently stated they have “been supplied ~500 .tiff files from a DEM which contain elevation data” and the prospect of repeating the built in Create Surface from DEM tool 500 times did not appeal to them (only to have 500 separate surfaces). So we set out to create a tool to help.
We put together some freeware that allows Civil3D users (2013 and higher) to select the multiple files and it will import the DEMs as separate GridSurfaces or better yet a single TinSurface (takes more processing time). If you use a supported Civil3D version, download the MultiDEM tool.
Note that our C3DTools package contains automation across nearly all areas of Civil3D !!!
